Doug & Laura Palmer - Walpole, NH residents and small business owners.
My first car was a red 1969 Volkswagen Beetle, passed down in the 90's to me. I sold it in the early 2000s, then spent much of the early 2020's trying to find it. I now own a red 1969 Volkswagen Beetle, perhaps even the same one (you think I kept any paperwork from back then?).
I purchased my first “enthusiast vehicle” 20+ years ago. It was a 1994 Chevrolet Impala SS. I didn't have a garage (or much money), so I couldn’t even buy a nice one. It spent its winters in a cheap greenhouse-style portable garage, covered in condensation. I bought it with rust, I probably should have just driven it in winter, it rotted out anyway.
A few years later I found some land and built what the kids today would call a “barndominium”, a 60x40 garage with an apartment in the back; 2/3 garage, 1/3 apartment. I’d never use all that space, but I was going to try.
Laura and I have since built a house and I’ve long since replaced that rusty Impala with a nicer one and several other cars, bikes, and toys. As my collection of American muscle and ratty euro trash grew, I needed more space or to consider the unthinkable concept of downsizing the fleet.
As I considered barn additions or even a modest two-car garage elsewhere on the property, I realized the expense was now astronomical, just for something to park a car in a few months a year. I couldn’t be the only one feeling this way.
We've been storing cars and motorcycles for 10+ years in Walpole, New Hampshire, right on the Vermont state line. It's always been somewhat of a side gig using extra space in our Main street location. With this new building (right behind it), it's time to make it a real business and take it to the next level.
No one will watch over your ride better than I will. Whether car, motorcycle, ATV/UTV, or snowmobile, you can feel confident you’ve made the right choice when you put your pride and joy in winter hibernation with Secure Auto Storage.
